The Lithium-ion Battery System by Johnson Controls-Saft Advanced Power Solutions (a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Saft) demonstrates the packaging and performance advantages of Lithium-Ion battery technology -- which include reduced size and weight as well as improved power-storage capacity. This system was shown in a hybrid SUV at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
